Body on!

This was definately a big step during the restoration. Last week the body was assembled on the chassis so all plans came together. The car looked even better as I had in my mind so I'm very happy with the result so far. Last weekend we did the wiring of the car so its almost ready to go the the interior shop. Thanks again Jan, Niels, Emiel and Marco for your support.

Interior make-over: from rat to restocal

Last week I delivered all interior parts and the 3fold ragtop to Rene van Brunschot who will restyle my interior from ratlook into restocal style. We only find out that we had the wrong pair of frontseats but we find a nice set of 55 vert seats at the BBT's treasureroom in Belgium. (Thanks Bob) You will see more pictures in the coming period.

Make it rolling (Part II)

We made lots of progress yesterday and a historical moment was there. The oval chassis was finally rolling. The Restokid made his first testrun and was very happy with the stance so far. Now we have to wait till end of this week before we can assemble the body on top of the chassis. I can't wait till that moment!

Thanks again Marco, Jan & Niels for your great help. And offcourse a special thank you to the Restolady Maureen who gives us a great catering during the day.

Make it "rolling"

Last weekend we worked on the chassis to make it rolling. We mounted the frontbeam, dropped spindels and the bad brakes with willwood callipers of Airkwld. Later on we also put the tranny in place so we are almost ready to drop this baby on the floor.
Thanks to Marco, Niels and Jan for all the great help and support!!
